Observer is the application for tracking software licenses that provides precise data on the use of applications, their expiration dates, and on the location tracking of users in various cost centers.

REAL-TIME ANALYSIS

Observer tracks all the managed software licenses in real time. Thanks to the Real-Time module, it's simple to track licenses in use, those available, those borrowed, check-out times, users and the groups they belong to.

USAGE GRAPHICS

All collected data is processed and presented via intuitive interactive graphs. The user always knows how, and how much, business software is being used.

ADVANCED EXPORT

All tracked data can be exported in several formats, including pdf, xls, jpg, png, svg. A useful feature for filing, sharing and presenting the results of your analysis.

SERVER TRACKING

  • How long does the Observer demo run and what does it allow me to do?

    The demo lasts sixty days starting from the date of installation. The Observer demo enables you to track up to 10 software programs, without limitations to the number of users or the number of exports.

  • I have a license manager that isn't listed. What can I do?

    Observer is a versatile and customizable solution to meet clients' needs. If you want to track a new license manager, all you need to do is send your configuration data to the technical support team.   • What is Observer?

    Observer is a solution that allows you to track and manage licenses for your company's software. Observer is accessible from any client workstation or mobile device. Observer tracks and analyzes the data collected on licenses in real-time, creating statistical graphs and detailed reports.

  • Where can I install Observer?

    Observer can be installed on any Windows or Linux architecture. It can also be downloaded from HERE  in VMware format. Installation takes just a few seconds and calls for minimal system requirements. For more information about this, please read the section called System Requirements.

  • In our company we use Active Directory. Can it be connected to Observer?

    Yes, absolutely. Observer is able to communicate with Active Directory through LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol). Simply set the Active Directory data via the control panel. This way, you can access Observer directly via your own domain account. Because of this feature, the data on license usage will be easily associated to the workgroups defined directly in AD.

  • What should I install on my license servers?

    You don't need to install anything. Observer tracks software directly from the server on which it's installed. You can, however, still install specific agents on individual servers in case you need to retrieve information present only on existing machinery resources (for example Log Files, Option Files and License Files).
